I've been a hair stylist since 2015, an educator for 3 years and now I am a certified Reiki Practitioner. The beauty industry has always been a passion of mine, and never just a “job”. No matter how many days a week I work behind the chair, I will ALWAYS be a certified hair nerd and will forever be obsessed with learning. I am dedicated to consistent growth and following the newest trends to keep you current and fresh. No one wants to be unintentionally outdated! 

Four years ago I chose to niche down and focus on brunettes and lived-in hair colour. It was during this time, I realized that my body just cannot repair from the physical stress of hairdressing. My work life balance was not, and I was forced to take a hard look at some necessary changes to my career. In an effort to prevent early retirement, I started sourcing knowledge on providing lower maintenance hair colour, using lower toxin hair care products, and implementing practices to keep my body in homeostasis. I have also learnt several new techniques, including hair extensions. As I enter my second year as an independent business owner, I’ve decided it is time to bring my dream of creating a wellness space for all of my clients, present and future, to life. 

Introducing ‘The Balanced Brunette’; the perfect name for a brand that represents me, my vision and my core values: integrity, life balance and authenticity. The intention behind TBB is to bring more balance into my life, and yours, through lower maintenance hair appointments, life altering hair extensions and emotional and spiritual healing. The time for self care and healing is now; and The Balanced Brunette is here to offer you a sacred space to nourish your hair, and heal your soul.
